Product Engineer

Location: New York City (Madison Square Park) – On-site (5 Days/Week)

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $180,000 – $250,000 + Equity + Benefits

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Engineer who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and enjoys taking ownership from concept to production. You will partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to build high-impact features that improve user experience and solve complex customer problems.

The ideal candidate is a strong full-stack engineer with excellent product intuition, enjoys working independently, and actively leverages modern AI coding tools to accelerate development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship end-to-end product features with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to translate Figma designs into production-ready applications.
• Develop scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Build modern, responsive frontend applications using Next.js, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks.
• Design and optimize data-heavy dashboards and customer-facing interfaces.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested production code.
• Improve application performance, reliability, and developer experience.
• Use AI-powered developer tools to accelerate engineering workflows.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Work cross-functionally to deliver high-quality product experiences.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 2+ years of professional experience in Product Engineering or Full-Stack Engineering.
• Experience working at a top-tier technology company or VC-backed startup.
• Proven experience shipping production features from concept to launch.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal technical direction.
• Experience in Healthcare, Genomics, or Biotech is highly preferred.

Education

• Degree from a Top 30 Computer Science program preferred.
