Product Manager - Core Banking

The Product Manager is a key member of the team, owning the product from end to end. One will be proactively working together with the team to maximize the value of the product towards our customers. In addition, one will work with different teams across various dimensions within the company to ensure a synergetic collaboration and timely delivery of goals.

The role is available in Malta and we also offer relocation packages.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Accountable for the on-time and quality delivery of software projects.
• Continually liaise with the Product Sponsor on priorities and software product development.
• Own the delivery of the product roadmap.
• Decide and act upon any urgent issues.
• Organise, review and report project progress following each sprint. Implement mechanisms to monitor, manage and provide progress on all software development activities within the team.
• Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized product backlog for the team.
• Write high-level specifications for business topics aligned with the team and business requirements.
• Collaborate with other teams to understand the requirements and propose solutions that meet such requirements to ensure delivery against agreed priorities.
• Work with UX/UI designers to design an effective user experience.
• Perform high-level UAT to verify that the solution is in line with the vision.
• Conduct appraisals, 121 meetings, identifying training needs, motivating and performance managing the team in collaboration with the Team Lead.
• Ensure effective internal communications both within the respective team and across other teams.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to analyze the needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals.
• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with a maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
• Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product.
• Liaise with the Customer Support team in a proactive manner to avoid or minimise customer impact.
• Proactively drive innovation with new ideas and options made available by new technologies.
  
  
  

Experience & Education Requirements

• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Knowledge of banking and/or fintech would be considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of the Agile/SCRUM software development cycle.
• Demonstrable and substantial experience in leading and managing teams of software developers.
• Proficient in relational and non-relational databases.
• Has a good technical understanding of Enterprise Web API development.
• Has a general understanding of software architecture.
• Experience in third-party platforms integration.
