Clemens Food Group is hiring a Production Utility Operator III – Processing for our Tyrone, PA food manufacturing facility. This 2nd shift production role is ideal for candidates with experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, machine operation, food processing, or industrial environments. You’ll cross-train on multiple machines, equipment, production lines, and processing areas while providing hands-on support across departments. As a key production resource, you’ll assist with machine operation, processing, packing, palletizing, knife work, troubleshooting, and workflow while supporting team members and production leaders. About the Role The Production Utility Operator III – Processing is a highly cross-functional position that provides critical operational support across our production areas. This role is designed for someone who can learn multiple machines, processes, and positions and step in wherever additional experience, coverage, or leadership support is needed. Rather than working in one position every day, you’ll become a versatile, cross-trained resource who understands multiple areas of the operation. You’ll work alongside production teams and leaders to keep operations running safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. What You’ll Do Cross-train on multiple production machines, processes, positions, and work areas. Operate and support various processing and production equipment. Serve as a flexible relief operator, stepping into different roles based on staffing and production needs. Move between departments, machines, production lines, and work groups throughout the operation as needed. Provide hands-on support and guidance to team members while helping maintain production workflow. Assist production leadership in supporting daily operational priorities and production goals. Perform production activities including machine operation, processing, knife work, packing, palletizing, material handling, and other production or warehouse-related activities . Learn equipment operation, setup, changeovers, basic adjustments, and standard operating procedures. Recognize basic equipment or production issues and communicate concerns to the appropriate leader or maintenance partner. Assist with troubleshooting and help keep production processes and equipment operating efficiently. Help train and support team members in areas where proficiency has been demonstrated. Monitor processes and products to help maintain established production, food safety, and quality standards. Support different departments or production groups based on staffing levels, production schedules, and business priorities. Follow all workplace safety, food safety, quality, sanitation, GMP, animal welfare, and regulatory requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Adapt quickly to changing assignments, staffing needs, and production priorities. Perform additional production and operational duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in manufacturing, production, food manufacturing, food processing, warehouse, machine operation, or a similar industrial environment preferred. Previous experience operating multiple types of production equipment is a plus. Experience working in a cross-trained, utility, relief operator, production support, or similar role is preferred. Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple machines, processes, and job functions. Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to develop additional technical skills. Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures, safety requirements, and production specifications. Strong communication, teamwork, reliability, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while also supporting multiple teams and departments. Comfortable taking initiative and providing guidance or operational support to other team members. Ability to prioritize work and adapt quickly when production or staffing needs change. Strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and operational excellence. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand and/or walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Perform repetitive production tasks. Safely work around manufacturing equipment and moving machinery. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and production conditions. Work Environment This position operates within a food processing and manufacturing environment . Team members may work around production machinery, processing equipment, noise, refrigerated or warmer production areas, and other conditions typical of food manufacturing. The role requires flexibility to move between production areas, machines, departments, and assignments throughout the shift. Overtime, weekends, schedule changes, or additional shifts may be required based on production and business needs.
