Is this job info correct?

The Opportunity MHTN Architects is seeking a Project Architect to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary design studio in Salt Lake City. We welcome both licensed architects and experienced architectural professionals who are working toward or interested in pursuing licensure . This opportunity is well suited for someone with approximately 6+ years of architectural experience who has developed a strong foundation in project delivery, documentation, technical coordination, and Revit and is ready to take greater ownership of project responsibilities. As a Project Architect at MHTN, you will contribute throughout project delivery—from design and documentation through consultant coordination and construction-phase services. You will lead defined portions of larger projects, work directly with clients, support multidisciplinary consultant coordination, and collaborate closely with Project Managers, Principals, and other project team members. MHTN works across a diverse range of project types and market sectors, providing opportunities to contribute to meaningful projects while developing broader project leadership experience. If you are not yet licensed, that should not keep you from applying. MHTN strongly encourages and supports architectural licensure through ARE exam fee support, study materials, mentorship, licensure fees, and other professional-development resources . What You’ll Do Lead and coordinate defined portions of larger architectural projects from design through construction. Develop architectural designs, studies, layouts, presentations, models, drawings, details, and other project deliverables. Plan and coordinate assigned project work, including deliverables, schedules, dependencies, and team responsibilities. Prepare and coordinate architectural documentation throughout applicable phases of project delivery. Support coordination with consultants, contractors, building systems, internal team members, and other project disciplines. Work directly with clients and other project stakeholders as part of the project team. Apply architectural, technical, building-code, life-safety, construction, and building-systems knowledge to project work. Identify coordination needs and project risks, develop practical responses, and help follow issues through resolution. Facilitate and, when appropriate, lead project-team, consultant, and client discussions related to assigned areas of responsibility. Contribute to quality reviews, design reviews, visual communication, and the development of coordinated project deliverables. Perform construction-phase services, including reviewing submittals, responding to requests for information, conducting site observations, documenting field conditions, and communicating project-related findings. Provide project-based guidance and support to less-experienced team members. What You’ll Bring Typically 6+ years of relevant professional architectural experience . Experience is considered alongside demonstrated competency and professional judgment. Bachelor’s degree in architecture from a program accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board, or equivalent education. Strong working knowledge of architectural design, project-delivery processes, construction documentation, detailing, and consultant coordination. Proficiency in Revit and the ability to use it to develop, review, and coordinate architectural project information. Working knowledge of building codes, life-safety requirements, construction types, building systems, and construction methods. Ability to prepare, interpret, and coordinate architectural drawings, specifications, technical information, and other project documents. Ability to identify and communicate coordination conflicts, technical concerns, project risks, and incomplete or inconsistent information. Strong written, verbal, visual, and presentation communication skills. Strong organization, follow-through, and ability to manage assigned priorities. Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams. Architectural licensure is preferred but not required . Experienced architectural professionals who are interested in pursuing licensure are encouraged to apply. Position Details This is a full-time, salaried, overtime-exempt position based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. MHTN offers a flexible hybrid work schedule. Employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Because this position includes in-person project responsibilities, collaboration, client engagement, and professional-development opportunities, long-term remote work is typically not feasible. The position may require frequent local travel during the normal workday and occasional overnight travel. Candidates outside the Salt Lake City area are welcome to apply. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate. How to Apply To apply, please complete the online application. You will receive an automatic confirmation email once your application has been successfully submitted. Portfolio or work-sample attachments are limited to 10 MB. Why MHTN? MHTN offers a collaborative work environment where architectural professionals can take meaningful responsibility, learn from experienced project leaders, build strong client relationships, and continue advancing their careers. We support technical excellence and professional growth through continuing education, mentorship, licensure support, and opportunities to contribute meaningfully throughout project delivery.
