As a Project Coordinator within SP Energy Networks Distribution, you will be part of the Licence Programmes Team, supporting the delivery of projects that help maintain , modernise and develop the electricity distribution network across our licence areas. Working closely with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders, you will play an important role in coordinating activities that support the growth of Low Carbon Technologies (LCTs), including Electric Vehicle Chargers and Air Source Heat Pumps. These projects are essential in enabling the transition to a more sustainable, low-carbon energy network. In this fast-paced, office-based role, you will coordinate a high volume of customer and contractor activities, helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard of customer service. You will support project delivery from initiation through to completion, maintaining accurate records, monitoring progress and working collaboratively across the business to achieve operational and customer objectives . The role requires strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on project coordination, operational delivery and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include: Coordinate the delivery of Low Carbon Technology projects in line with operational, financial and customer service objectives Manage daily interactions with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery Coordinate a high volume of customer cases and active projects simultaneously Maintain accurate project records and updates within internal CRM systems Support project planning and workflow management using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Utilise network mapping and digital utility platforms to support network assessments and project development Assist in the creation and management of projects within SAP Process contractor payment applications and complete project close-out activities within SAP Monitor project expenditure and support financial governance and auditing requirements Support contractor performance monitoring to ensure delivery aligns with contractual obligations Maintain effective communication throughout the customer journey to ensure expectations are managed and achieved Coordinate activities in accordance with company policies, industry regulations and health and safety requirements Travel to operational sites when required to support project delivery activities Collaborate with colleagues across the wider business to support team objectives and workload management Contribute to operational performance targets and continuous improvement initiatives Please note this role is mandatory to be office based 5 days a week, but Flexible working conditions are available. No Hybrid working from home is available. What you’ll bring Experience in a project coordination, customer service or operational delivery role Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities within a fast-paced environment Strong stakeholder management and customer engagement skills Excellent organisational and time management skills Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with strong Excel capability Experience working with CRM systems and project tracking tools Knowledge of SAP systems and processes is desirable Understanding of electricity distribution networks or utility operations is advantageous Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Commercial awareness and an understanding of budget management principles Commitment to health, safety and customer service excellence Minimum Requirements Relevant experience in project coordination, operations or customer service Strong IT and systems capability Experience managing high-volume workloads within a structured environment Ability to work collaboratively across operational and support teams Commitment to delivering excellent customer outcomes Full UK driving licence is desirable What’s in it for you As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
