Project Overview: The project is a 1.3 GW simple-cycle power generation facility located in Millersport, Ohio, being constructed adjacent to a hyperscale data center campus. The facility includes multiple power generation technologies consisting of Solar Titan 130 gas turbines, Siemens SGT800 gas turbines, reciprocating engines, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and associated balance of plant infrastructure. The scope includes major civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, underground utility, control systems, and commissioning works required to support phased energization and turnover of the facility. Construction will be executed through a combination of direct hire and subcontracted labor supported by modularization, pre-assembly, offsite warehousing, and advanced work packaging methodologies. Job Summary: Bechtel is providing engineering, procurement and construction for a large power plant project located in Ohio, US. If selected, Bechtel is seeking a Project IT Lead to join this power project, reporting to the Bechtel Project Manager. The position will start in either Reston, Houston or remote until mobilization to the job site. #LI-VB1 Major Responsibilities: Be responsible for all IT operations and services for the Bechtel team on the project Provide IT operational/technical support and manage IT requirements and deliverables to support execution of the project Define IT infrastructure, network, and communications requirements for site offices. Develop complex IT reports, dashboards, and automate workflows. Coordinate IT plans with project team, contractors and client, and establish clear Divisions of Responsibility Establish relationships with IT vendors Support mobilization of project team – Asset management, imaging and provision of Bechtel computers, mobile phones and Microsoft 2FA. Setup network printers and scanners. Help Bechtel users connect to the network, printers, file server, applications, Teams and SharePoint, and resolve any technical issues. Develop metrics for IS&T performance and governance compliance. Manages automation, innovation and integration requirements with Bechtel, client and/or key stakeholders and disciplines. Provide input to IT technical scopes of work for contractors. Recommend process improvement solutions. Follows Bechtel processes for deploying approved applications. Development of IT support guides and user training. Develop and maintain the Project Automation Plan, Disaster Recovery Plan, Software Application Portfolio, and project IT handover and Closeout plan. Define and set Project IT goals, schedules and divisions of responsibility Maintain Project IT budget and associated forecasts Responsible for IT procurement and asset management Respond to audits as required Support and deployment of EPC Software Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree Required Knowledge and Skills: Microsoft Fundamentals courses related to Azure, M365, Teams and SharePoint administration desirable. Experience on large scale EPC projects desirable, preferably in North America Excellent English oral and written communication skills and the ability to document technical processes required. Must have a good understanding of the major IT infrastructure systems (Microsoft domains, Cloud VPN, Virtual Servers, Caching File Servers, SDWAN, Teams Voice) and how to plan their implementation Ability to identify, track, escalate, and resolve problems using basic techniques and methods of troubleshooting end-user problems. Power-Bi and Power-App skills desirable Proven record in innovation and work process improvement Experience writing IT scope of work documents for IT systems Familiarity with various engineering, procurement and construction software is desirable Knowledge of the software and integration architecture for document management, project controls, Autodesk suite, workflows and dashboards.
