Luminary Projects is building a Nordic network of experienced data centre and mission-critical professionals, supporting projects across Sweden and Finland with further expansion planned across the region.

We're now looking for a seasoned Project Lead to take ownership of delivery on a major data centre project in the Stockholm region - a senior, hands-on role for someone equally comfortable across design, procurement, construction, commercial management and commissioning, and able to keep a complex programme moving toward its milestones.

The opportunity

As Project Lead, you'll run the day-to-day execution of a data centre project or a major workstream within it, acting as the central point of contact for internal teams, contractors, suppliers, consultants and client representatives.

Your focus is on safe, efficient delivery: staying ahead of programme performance, commercial exposure, quality and commissioning readiness, spotting constraints before they become problems, and making sure decisions actually get followed through.

What you'll do

Delivery & coordination

• Own delivery of assigned projects or major work packages, from planning through to commissioning and handover
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams spanning design, procurement, construction, commercial and quality
• Turn contractual requirements and project objectives into clear, actionable delivery priorities
• Track progress against milestones and critical-path activities together with the planning team
• Spot delays, interface issues and delivery risks early, and drive recovery action

Design, procurement & site

• Coordinate design development and keep technical information moving through review and release
• Stay on top of procurement activity, supplier performance and long-lead equipment
• Oversee site progress, productivity and adherence to approved designs and specifications

Commercial & safety

• Support cost forecasting, change management and commercial reporting
• Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring work follows project procedures and applicable legislation

Commissioning & reporting

• Drive mechanical completion, punch-list closeout, commissioning readiness and final handover
• Chair coordination meetings and report progress clearly to senior stakeholders
• Build and maintain productive relationships across the client, consultants, contractors and supply chain

What we're looking for

• A minimum of five years’ project management or delivery experience within data centre projects, ideally involving mission-critical construction and commissioning
• A track record leading multidisciplinary teams across multiple technical interfaces
• Solid grasp of construction delivery, commissioning and QA/QC processes
• Confidence with programmes, risk and commercial considerations
• A relevant qualification in construction management, building services, engineering or a similar discipline
• PMP, PRINCE2 or an equivalent project management certification
• A recognised construction health and safety qualification applicable in Sweden, or an equivalent international qualification.
• Clear, confident communication and good decision-making under pressure
• Professional working proficiency in English

Engagement

This is a full-time opportunity. Employment is the preferred engagement model, although subcontractor arrangements may also be considered for the right candidate. International candidates are welcome, visa or work permit support may be available for selected positions. The role is project-based and requires regular on-site presence.
