SonaShares AG is an independent proprietary trading and consulting firm based in Bäch, on the shores of Lake Zurich, in the business-friendly Canton of Schwyz.

Our current focus is on U.S. equities and equity derivatives, but we also welcome traders with a proven edge in other markets or asset classes.

We are looking for a successful trader with established strategies and a credible live trading track record. You will work directly with the firm’s decision-makers in an entrepreneurial, hands-on environment.

Your Role

• Execute and scale proven trading strategies
• Identify and evaluate opportunities across relevant markets
• Test new ideas while applying disciplined risk and position management
• Contribute to the development of trading-support tools using Python, advanced Excel, AI-assisted coding, or similar technologies
• Play an active role in the firm’s broader trading and strategic development

Your Profile

Results, mindset, and actual trading ability matter more to us than formal qualifications or a specific number of years of professional experience. You must already be trading successfully with your own capital and have one or more profitable, repeatable strategies.

You should bring:

• A genuine passion for financial markets
• A verifiable history of successful live trading
• Strong analytical skills and disciplined risk management
• An independent mindset, clear goals, and a high degree of self-awareness
• Diligence, commitment, and the ability to remain calm and rational under pressure
• Experience or a strong interest in developing trading-support tools using Python, advanced Excel, or AI-assisted coding
• Good command of English; German is an advantage

Experience trading listed options or leveraged products—such as warrants, turbos, or other knock-out certificates—is a strong advantage. A sound understanding of volatility, the Greeks, and product-specific risks is highly valued. Experience with systematic backtesting is also beneficial.
