Prototype Technician

Position: Cleanroom Prototype Technician

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands

Employment: Full-time, currently Day Shift (future 2-shift system)

About the Role

As a Cleanroom Prototype Technician, you will assemble, test, troubleshoot, and optimize next-generation Atmospheric Wafer Handler (AWH MK9) systems for ASML lithography machines. Working in VDL ETG's Prototype Department, you'll help transition products from prototype to full-scale production while collaborating closely with engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble complex mechanical and mechatronic systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Perform testing, qualification, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve technical issues.
• Improve assembly processes and work instructions.
• Record assembly and test data.
• Support industrialization and production readiness.
• Work in a high-tech cleanroom environment.

Requirements

• Technical qualification (EQF Level 4) in:
• Mechatronics
• Mechanical Engineering
• Or a related technical field
• Experience with technical/mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read technical drawings independently.
• Knowledge of testing and troubleshooting.
• Good English communication skills.
• Proactive, quality-focused, and problem-solving mindset.
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom and transition to a future 2-shift schedule.
