Quality Assurance Technician Principle Responsibilities: Inspect incoming materials and finished products, record results, and document quality concerns. Conduct manufacturing audits and checks to ensure products and processes meet established requirements. Communicate nonconforming material and product issues to Quality, Production, Purchasing, Materials, and Engineering. Create corrective action reports and assist with root-cause investigations. Review technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions for accuracy and completeness. Perform calibration activities and maintain quality, inspection, and training records. Help create and update quality forms, procedures, inspection criteria, and other documentation. Support continuous improvement efforts and, depending on experience, help train other Quality team members. Requirements Skills and Knowledge Requirements High school diploma or GED required; technical education or a quality-related certificate preferred. Ability to read CAD drawings or technical prints. Ability to use electrical and mechanical testing or measurement equipment. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in quality, manufacturing, electronics, inspection, or a related technical environment is preferred. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and basic math abilities. Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple departments. Experience with an ERP, SharePoint, or another electronic documentation system is preferred. Work Environment This position works in a combination of office and light manufacturing environments. Employees move throughout the facility and may regularly sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift. Safety glasses, ESD lab coats, and closed-toe shoes are required in designated areas.
