Are you an experienced Quality Engineer with a strong background in shipbuilding and a passion for ensuring the highest technical standards? Do you enjoy working on complex maritime products where quality, safety and reliability are essential? We are looking for a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for safeguarding and continuously improving quality within technically challenging projects. You will work on high-end products and composite structures for the international yacht and maritime industry. You will join a technically advanced environment where products such as masts, booms, winches, deck equipment, hatches, windbreaks and composite structures are engineered and manufactured for prestigious maritime projects worldwide.

Tasks

Job Description

As a Quality Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring that products, processes and project documentation meet the required quality standards.

You will work closely with engineering, production, project management and suppliers. Your focus will be on preventing quality issues, analysing deviations and continuously improving processes, while ensuring compliance with applicable national and international standards.

Your Responsibilities


  • Prepare and manage quality documentation, ensuring traceability and compliance with national and international standards.
  • Maintain and further develop the Quality Management System in accordance with standards such as ISO 9001 and AQAP.
  • Set up and continuously improve quality processes, with a focus on preventing errors and improving overall quality.
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits, inspections and quality controls.
  • Analyse deviations using Root Cause Analysis and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Apply quality methodologies such as FMEA, SPC and Lean Six Sigma, support quality awareness through training, and report quality performance and results.


Job requirements


  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the European Union.
  • Higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level
  • Approximately 5–10 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or in a comparable quality role.
  • Experience within shipbuilding or yacht building industry is required.
  • Strong knowledge of quality methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience with quality management systems and regulated technical environments.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001; experience with AQAP is a strong advantage.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different departments and suppliers.
  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written.


Conditions


  • Gross annual salary between € 58.500,- and € 71.500,- depending on experience.
