Quality Engineer (Experienced or Senior) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Berkeley, MO. Position Responsibilities: Advises others in the preparation of significant bids and proposals. Authors Quality plans for major programs Advises suppliers and business partners in the development of their Quality plans to ensure the flowdown of requirements Consults at the business unit level to develop Quality criteria for supplier selection Oversees the development of methods, procedures and metrics to ensure quality standards and practices for large programs and derivatives Leads verification reviews to ensure adequate surveillance to validate product and process Quality requirements Develops new methods for conducting product and process validation Represents Quality in design reviews of the inter-relationship of multiple systems Advises on development of methods for testing and approval of products, processes, equipment and measurement systems to ensure manufacturing and test readiness Performs benchmarking of enterprise best practices. Leads cross-functional continuous Quality improvement efforts Develops new applications for advanced statistical methods Works under consultative direction Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science or computer science Experience in low observable processes Experience with development of methods for testing and approval of products, processes, equipment and measurement systems to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. 3+ years of experience collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data. 3+ years of experience using AS9100 or a similar Quality Management System (QMS) standard. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience reviewing, measure, and test aircraft coatings Experience developing process from acceptance test to materials Experience with electromagnetic component and platform testing Level 4: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Travel: Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
