What you will be doing: As a Quality Team Leader , you will lead and develop a team delivering Quality activities across the Dreadnought and Astute programmes. Working within the Pipe/Mechanical domain, you will oversee product inspections, support Continuous Improvement and ensure delivery against key safety, quality and programme objectives . Core duties: Lead and develop a Quality team delivering agreed scopes across the Dreadnought and Astute programmes, meeting safety, quality, cost, delivery, people and schedule objectives Supervise product inspections during build, ensuring compliance with Inspection and Test Plans, specifications, procedures and contractual requirements Deliver complex Quality activities and manage actions through to effective completion and verification Coach and mentor junior Quality team members, supporting capability development and effective use of relevant Quality technology and tools Support the development, implementation and improvement of Quality processes, Inspection and Test Plans and governance arrangements Lead and facilitate Continuous Improvement, working cross-functionally to drive a right first-time culture and support product safety and export requirements where applicable Essential Skills: Relevant Quality experience, with practical knowledge of ISO 9001/EN9100 and end-to-end Quality Inspection and Acceptance requirements Working knowledge of Management Systems, including policies, procedures, workmanship standards, risk assessments and processes, with an understanding of LCM, Business Management Systems, Operational Framework and Operational Assurance Knowledge and experience of product safety, Programme Inspection and Test Plans, and their implementation within a regulated engineering or manufacturing environment Experience establishing and implementing business processes, including testing, validation and assessment of impacts, with the ability to interpret technical specifications, procedures, standards and contractual requirements Demonstrated ability to coordinate, facilitate, and influence large teams to deliver Continuous Improvement, with excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills Knowledge of export requirements such as ITAR, effective action management and verification, and the ability to use and train others in relevant Quality technology and tools The Dreadnought Quality Outfit (Pipe/Mechanical) Team: Join a team supporting the Dreadnought project, where you will lead Quality professionals within the Pipe/Mechanical domain and help drive a right first-time culture. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation, while coaching and mentoring others, leading Continuous Improvement activity and contributing to the development of Quality processes and standards.
