Maintain compliance with department policies, procedures, quality assurance initiatives, and regulatory requirements. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by providing clear instructions, ensuring comfort, and promoting a positive patient experience. Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively while producing diagnostic-quality images. Review images for technical quality and accuracy, ensuring all required imaging standards are met. Inspect and monitor equipment, supplies, and accessories regularly to ensure proper functionality and readiness for patient care. Maintain adequate inventory levels and stock required supplies in assigned imaging areas. Prepare, organize, and maintain examination rooms to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. Assist with transporting patients to and from imaging areas, inpatient units, and the Emergency Department as needed. Practice proper infection prevention, safety, and patient handling techniques at all times. Collaborate with radiologists, providers, nurses, and other healthcare team members to support timely and effective patient care. Participate in continuing education, in-service training, workshops, and professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical competency. Stay current with advancements in imaging technology, best practices, and industry standards. Attend departmental, organizational, and staff meetings as required. Contribute to a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional patient care. Qualifications: Education Associate Degree preferred. Licensure Current New Mexico Radiography Technologist (RRT) License or Temporary Radiography License required. Certifications American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification in Radiography [ARRT(R)] preferred at the time of hire. Candidates hired without ARRT(R) certification must obtain certification within one (1) year of hire. Additional Requirements Must maintain all required licenses and certifications in good standing throughout employment.
