Position Summary Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US , is looking to hire a Refrigeration Trailer Technician/Mechanic in Cedar Falls, IA ! The Refrigeration Trailer Technician/Mechanic is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of Reefer Units on trailers to ensure a safe and efficient operation. The Refrigeration Technician will require a high level of proficiency and working knowledge working on Reefer units, PMs, and A/C. Note you must have your 608 & 609. Required Reefer experience repairing the Refrigeration unit (Diesel Engine) on a Trailer. (Heavy-Duty Trailer Repair). Due to the nature of the repair flow, could repair some Trailers (DOT Inspections and Repairs) if Reefer Units are in working condition. Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! $38-$45 per hour, depending on expereince! ***Potential Sign-On Bonus, Up to $5,000*** **Relocation Bonus Available** Shift: Monday - Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm The benefits of belonging – what’s in it for you? Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.) Work Conditions: Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job. Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise. Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance Ability to move and position heavy objects Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
