Refugee Resettlement Community Outreach Coordinator (39890) San Antonio - San Antonio, TX 78216 Apply Overview Salary Range $24.47 - $29.21 Hourly Position Type Full Time Education Level Bachelor's degree Travel Percentage Moderate (50-75)% Category Refugee Resettlement Apply Description POSITION OVERVIEW The Community Outreach Coordinator will drive client acquisition and organizational growth through strategic relationship building, community outreach, and education. Operating as a key brand ambassador, this role engages prospective clients through community events and direct interactions, ensuring all touchpoints are fully compliant and aligned with regulatory guidelines. This position is a member of a multi-disciplinary workforce ensuring successful client outcomes grant compliance. This position may be grant-funded. If there is a substantial reduction in funding or funding ceases, the position may be terminated. This position may involve working outside of the regular business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., CST. This position may require working evenings, late nights, and weekends as necessary to meet the evolving and time-sensitive needs of our business and clients. RESPONSIBILITIES Community Engagement and Outreach Represent RAICES at community events, resource fairs, refugee centers, coalitions, and local organizations. Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, schools, referral sources, local leaders, and new and existing clients . Build a network of community partners to support the Refugee Services legal, client education and vocational services. Evaluate local needs and community assets by collecting and analyzing data to inform new program development and service delivery improvements Assist in the creation and preparation of RAICES educational and outreach materials, including brochures and flyers, for use at community events and outreach activities. Collaborate with Refugee Services department staff to align outreach efforts with practice goals. Assist with client retention efforts by supporting client satisfaction and ongoing engagement with the practice. Identify client eligibility for all RAICES refugee services. Provide guidance and support to families navigating the intake/enrollment process. Follow up with clients to answer questions. Develop and execute outreach strategies to engage refugee and other ORR-eligible populations. Plan and facilitate recruitment events to increase enrollment in all refugee programs. Advocate for families to address barriers to accessing services. Act as a resource for Refugee families, ensuring their voices are heard and needs are met. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field; in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree 1 additional year of experience in the qualifications below. 2 years of experience in refugee resettlement work; 1 year of experience working with external stakeholders and developing community partnerships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex eligibility requirements clearly. Community outreach and relationship building skills, especially with vulnerable populations. Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple leads and multiple outreach activities. Professional presentation skills for community events, group meetings and one-on-one interactions. Comfortable working independently in the field while collaborating in the office with staff. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MSW or Master’s Degree in a related social service field 3 years of experience in refugee resettlement work; 2 years of experience working with external stakeholders and developing community partnerships. Bilingual with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Physical requirements may include carrying up to 25 lbs., loading and unloading donated items, and standing and carrying items. Highest level of professional and ethical conduct. Willingness to travel, as needed, for RAICES meetings and events as needed. Hybrid Work Plan PLEASE NOTE: Employees are expected to live within the assigned geographic location to commute to and from the office or assigned on-site location(s) as business or client needs require. Currently, all interviews are virtual. All positions will require working remotely and in-office at the assigned work location. Applicants must reside in the state of Texas.
