Summary The Regional Vice President Clinical Engineering (RVP) oversees clinical engineering services across multiple hospital sites, with multiple customers across the United States. The Regional Vice President is fully responsible for profit and loss, integrated service delivery model, customer retention, associate development, strategic development, and leadership initiatives designed to meet the TRIMEDX goal of being the most trusted service partner in healthcare. The Regional Vice President will ensure the team delivers on all the contractual, regulatory, and other commitments made to the TRIMEDX customer. This role will also ensure the successful adoption of all TRIMEDX lead initiatives and programs. This role will serve as the primary customer liaison and will represent TRIMEDX to this customer. The position is based in Seattle, WA and relocation is offered to those as needed. Responsibilities Operational Leadership Oversee service operations for multiple hospitals over a broad geographic area with full accountability for achieving service, financial, regulatory compliance, associate engagement and retention and organizational development goals to ensure service excellence. Build high performing teams by selecting and retaining site leaders and operational directors to lead and manage the business. Drive process and performance excellence through associate and leadership accountability, develop and execute management controls to assure site leaders and operational directors meet service delivery strategy objectives and generate customer satisfaction. Assure quality and operational excellence through ongoing performance and process improvements, and implementation of Integrated Service Plan (ISP) to drive business results including, service delivery strategy, FTE staffing and training, resource plans, and budget planning and achievement of Performance Goals and Objectives, and organizational initiatives. Utilize financial data to diagnose business strengths and weaknesses, generate alternatives, and commit to driving daily decisions that maximize profitability. Ensure detailed action plans are implemented to meet Performance Goals and Objectives, and organizational initiatives. Customer Account Management Set high standards and accountabilities for customer satisfaction including developing and overseeing strategies for Customer retention and cost savings reduction opportunities. Provide guidance to directors and site leaders for business reviews with customers to ensure program understanding, customer satisfaction, strategic partnering, innovation, and continuous improvement efforts. Develop key customer relationships and coach associates and leaders to develop and nurture existing customer account management strategies to assure customer loyalty. Ensure development and implementation of Matched pairs for all customers. Serve as a key customer Matched pair to support Site Manager, Operations Director, and Client Experience in building high, wide, and deep customer relationship building. Deliver Quarterly Value Reviews and/or System-level reports or meetings. Accountable for overall EOC (Environment of Care) compliance for assigned portfolio. Lead the delivery of results to a defined customer group with diverse, non-routine needs. Regular interaction with external customers. Innovation Strategy and Change Management Work effectively with TRIMEDX executives and other key stakeholders to drive customer growth, retention and satisfaction, business innovation, service delivery strategies, managing revenue growth, cost reduction and continuous improvement. Recognize problems as opportunities for creativity, innovation, and change; takes calculated risk and encourages others to challenge assumptions to seek alternative solutions. Champion and lead corporate-wide strategic initiatives. Leverage professional society involvement as a means of promoting and representing TRIMEDX within the regions or local communities through pre-defined branding and service initiatives. Create vision and strategy for continuous improvement initiatives. Draw upon expertise and makes decisions about appropriate course for achieving targeted goals; scope is more strategic. Combine a broad, cross-functional scope of the business with an expertise to drive results. Leadership: Provide clear direction to ensure collective achievement of goals and objectives. Create an environment of respect, collaboration, and open communication. Associate Development: Identify and support development needs of direct reports and team members including connecting them to resources both internally and externally to ensure a culture of continuous improvement. Associate Engagement: Create high levels of employee engagement by understanding organizational and personal drivers that impact drivers and developing action plans that deliver increased engagement. Performance management: Set clear goals and expectations for teams, monitor, and enable performance and intervene with appropriate action when performance gaps occur and provide timely, honest feedback. Ensure that associates complete assigned actions by required deadlines. Complexity: Broad financial and operational business targets; mixture of strategic and tactical Portfolio: Multiple hospital systems and customer agreements. General time horizon for tasks and planning Monthly: 30% Quarterly: 30% Annually: 40% General May be over one or multiple sites that are between $100M to $250M in revenue. Diversified between multiple customers, with single customer focus of less than 50%. Travel may be required based on customer or business needs. Must reside in the market of the assigned customer. All other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience Minimum 12 years’ experience in a clinical engineering or equivalent environment. Minimum of 7 years of people leadership experience with an emphasis on leading a business unit experience assuring customer retention, satisfaction, performance, and profitability of business. People management experience must include experience managing leaders of teams. Must have experience as a TRIMEDX Network or Regional Director, or equivalent experience. Extensive experience in field service operations, clinical engineering, and biomedical field required or technical background required. Strategic capabilities in financial planning, resource allocation, workforce planning and analysis, business process improvement. Experience in developing and building strong client relationships and building a customer centric organization. Technology savvy and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Strong cross-functional knowledge of sales, human resources, information technology and finance. Strategic leadership skills to execute initiatives, influence stakeholders and drive integrated objectives across the organization. Conflict resolution and team building skills with the ability to mentor and develop knowledge and skills. Continuous improvement process development skills including lean six sigma. Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent presentation communication skills. Education and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. A bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, or technological related field is ideal. Master’s degree is desired, and an MBA is preferred. Applicants can expect a compensation range of $200K-$225K for this opportunity. This is the reasonable estimate that TRIMEDX believes it might pay for this particular job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. TRIMEDX may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
