A vacancy has arisen within the Women & Children’s Directorate for a motivated midwife to join the Maternity Assessment team. The successful candidate will practise as an autonomous practitioner, contributing to the delivery of safe, responsive, and holistic care for families across Forth Valley.
Within NHS Forth Valley, we provide care throughout the entire pregnancy journey, with Maternity Assessment playing a key role in the initial assessment, triage, and ongoing management of women requiring urgent review. You will work as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team, supporting care across core hospital services as well as alongside community-based teams, and contributing to the continued implementation of the National Best Start recommendations.
The successful applicant will demonstrate enthusiasm, flexibility, and a strong commitment to working across all areas of midwifery within an integrated model of care.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
