Role: Registered Nurse in Radiation Oncology, providing direct patient care for those receiving photon or proton radiation therapy.
Responsibilities: Deliver patient education, assess and manage symptoms, administer conscious sedation and IV contrast, collaborate with physicians and radiation therapists, assist in care coordination and clinical research, and contribute to departmental success.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with at least one year of RN experience. Preferred experience in Pediatric or Hematology/Oncology nursing, strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and computer skills. Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and obtain ACLS and ECG training if needed.
Licensure & Certifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, and any required state or specialty certifications prior to start. Internal applicants must include recent performance appraisals.
