The Role
The Beatson Cancer Research Facility (BCRF), based within the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre (BWoSCC), is seeking a Regulatory Administrator to provide reliable, well-organised regulatory and administrative support for cancer research across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
You will work closely with Medical and Clinical Oncologists, Haemato-Oncologists and other staff acting as Principal Investigators for clinical trials and cancer research studies.
The role supports the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of cancer research and contributes to the setup and approval of clinical trials and research studies across NHS GGC.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
- This is a 2-year fixed-term contract
- The post is based within the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre (BWoSCC), Beatson Cancer Research Facility (BCRF).
- This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week post, working Monday to Thursday, 9:00am5:00pm, and Friday, 9:00am3:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
The Regulatory Administrator will provide regulatory and administrative support for clinical trials and cancer research studies. Key responsibilities include preparing regulatory documentation required for study setup, gathering relevant information, completing Organisational Information Document (OID) appendices, and coordinating associated local permissions and approvals paperwork.
You will work closely with Principal Investigators and other clinical and research staff and ensure documentation is accurately prepared and submitted to the NHS GGC Research & Innovation Department to support organisational approval for research to take place at active Health Board sites.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Knowledge and understanding of administrative processes and procedures.
- Understanding of the importance of accurate and well-organised regulatory documentation.
- Ability to gather, collate and record information accurately.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clinical, research and administrative colleagues.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
- Awareness of confidentiality and the need to handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Experience of working in a healthcare, research or administrative environment would be advantageous.
- Understanding of clinical research and regulatory requirements would be advantageous.
