We are seeking candidates with research skills and technical backgrounds. Applicants should demonstrate depth of knowledge in Natural Language Understanding, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization, Data Mining or Machine Intelligence (Artificial Intelligence) as well as strong academia experience in data processing, experimentation, and modeling. Analyze and improve performance of advanced algorithms on large-scale datasets and cutting-edge research in machine intelligence and machine learning applications. Implement prototypes of scalable systems in AI applications. Collaborate closely with team members on developing systems from prototyping to production level. Develop solutions for real world, large-scale problems. MSR India conducts research in a wide range of areas and Internships are available in all of them. While the internships are offered year round, a majority of them begin in the summer. In the application process, we will try to find the opportunity that best aligns with your interests. During the internship, students are paired with mentors and expected to collaborate with other interns and researchers, present findings, and contribute to the vibrant life of the community. All internships are paid and we will help with visa applications where needed. Qualifications Required/Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (complete or in progress) in relevant field OR Master's Degree in relevant field OR equivalent experience. Additional or Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree or PhD in relevant field OR equivalent experience. Experience publishing academic papers as a lead author or essential contributor. Experience participating in a top conference in relevant research domain.
