This Volunteer Placement is Located in: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania Start Date: July 2026 Placement Length: 6 months Language Requirements: English Level 4-Advanced Eligibility: Open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada only The Volunteer’s Role Our partner, the Tanzania Health Forum Initiative (THFI), is seeking a dedicated and skilled volunteer to support their resource mobilization efforts. In this volunteer placement, you will work closely with the team to enhance their initiatives in securing essential funding and building meaningful partnerships. As a volunteer, you will: Conduct mapping and analysis of funding opportunities and potential donors to maintain an up-to-date funding database that aids in strategic decision-making, resulting in enhanced visibility of new and diverse funding sources. Provide support in proposal development to improve the quality and competitiveness of concept notes and proposals, increasing submission rates for relevant funding calls. Strengthen resource mobilization systems to ensure more coordinated, efficient, and timely resource mobilization processes, as well as enhanced internal preparedness for grant applications. Offer partnership engagement support to bolster relationships with potential donors and strategic partners, improving communication materials for external engagement. Assist with documentation and knowledge management to create a centralized repository of resource mobilization documents for institutional memory and to provide well-organized information that supports advocacy and fundraising efforts. Essential Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in development studies, sociology, project management, entrepreneurship and business development, agribusiness, or value addition. A Master's degree and familiarity with media relations and communication are considered additional assets. Essential Background: A minimum of four years of experience in fundraising projects, particularly in women's and youth empowerment initiatives. Skills in grant and proposal writing, financial literacy, and networking. Experience in project management and proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite. What’s in it for YOU? Project: Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership RWVL-T Partner: Tanzania Health Forum Initiative (THFI) Volunteer Support and Requirements Support Package Cuso International provides a comprehensive support package to ensure volunteers maintain a modest and healthy lifestyle aligned with local standards.
