Responsibilities Located in downtown Fresno, Community Regional Medical Center is home to the region’s only Level I Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. As an experienced RN you’ll join a clinical team delivering high-acuity care for a diverse patient population between our ED, PACU and ICU departments in some of the hospital’s most complex environments. Coordinate patient assignments, admissions, discharges, and transfers to maintain efficient patient flow and optimal bed utilization. Organizes both direct and indirect patient care efficiently and prioritizes appropriately to create a collaborative and communicative environment for all the members of the healthcare team. Acts as a patient advocate by initiating action to improve healthcare or to change decisions or activities which are against the interests or wishes of the patient, and by giving the patient the opportunity to make informed decisions about healthcare before it is provided. Qualifications Education & Experience High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required 5 years of RN experience in the ICU or Red Zone ED trained preferred Licenses and Certifications RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire or transfer into job.
