Presbyterian is seeking a skilled RN for our Wound Care Unit. The Registered Nurse provides specialized assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic wounds. Treatment planning — Develop individualized wound care plans using evidence‑based protocols, including debridement support, dressing selection, offloading, compression therapy, and infection prevention. Dressing management — Apply and monitor advanced wound dressings (hydrocolloids, alginates, foams, NPWT, antimicrobial dressings). Patient education — Teach patients and caregivers about wound care techniques, nutrition, hygiene, and prevention strategies. Interdisciplinary collaboration — Work closely with physicians, podiatrists, PT/OT, dietitians, and case managers to coordinate care. Documentation — Maintain accurate, timely wound records, photographs, and progress notes in the EMR. Quality improvement — Participate in pressure‑injury prevention programs, audits, and performance improvement initiatives. Staff training — Provide in‑service education on wound prevention, dressing techniques, and product use. Infection control — Monitor for signs of infection and escalate care appropriately.
