SaaS Platform Engineer

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for an experienced SaaS Platform Engineer to take on the role of SaaS Service Owner, responsible for the governance, lifecycle management, operational resilience, and continuous improvement of enterprise SaaS platforms.

Roles & Responsibilities

SaaS Platform & Service Ownership

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise SaaS applications, including onboarding, implementation, operational support, upgrades, renewals, and retirement.
• Ensure SaaS platforms remain secure, resilient, compliant, and aligned with business requirements.
• Define and maintain governance standards for enterprise SaaS services.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across SaaS platforms and services.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures, documentation, and service standards.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for SaaS vendors and service providers.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, service reviews, and performance.
• Coordinate with procurement, security, architecture, and business stakeholders during technology selection and onboarding.
• Evaluate new SaaS solutions and provide recommendations based on technical, operational, and compliance requirements.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure SaaS platforms comply with enterprise security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
• Implement and monitor identity and access management (IAM) controls.
• Ensure adherence to privacy regulations, including GDPR and organizational data governance standards.
• Coordinate vulnerability management and remediation activities.

Platform Operations

• Manage platform monitoring, observability, availability, and operational resilience.
• Support incident, problem, change, and service management processes.
• Plan and coordinate software releases, maintenance activities, and lifecycle upgrades.
• Develop automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Produce operational reports, dashboards, and service performance metrics.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Experience managing enterprise SaaS platforms within regulated industries (e.g., financial services, banking, insurance, healthcare).
• Proven experience in SaaS lifecycle management and operational support.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and supplier performance.
• Experience working in enterprise IT environments with governance and compliance requirements.
