Position: Sales and Events Manager Reporting Relationship: Director of Sales Property: ONE|GT Grand Cayman (97 hotel suites, 80 luxury residences) Property Type: Luxury mixed-use hotel and residential development Address: 63 Goring Avenue Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands KY1-1105 Property Size: 97 hotel Suites Residential: 80 luxury residences Work Type: 100% On-Site Position Type: Manager Level, Salary, Permanent Direct Reports: None Compensation package: Offer will be aligned based on experience and qualifications within approved salary range Base Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 USD per year (Tax Free/Net) Bonus Eligibility: Up to 20% Quarterly ( Quarterly performance bonus, based on achievement of agreed financial targets and KPIs) Benefits: Vacation (10 days), Sick Days (10 days), Medical (50% Employer paid). After the fifth (5 th ) year of employment, this will increase to 15 days of vacation. Pension: Contributions in accordance with the National Pensions Law. About the ONE|GT Restaurants & Dining: Perle – Signature French-Mediterranean restaurant featuring seafood-focused cuisine and an extensive wine program. Byū – Rooftop Asian-inspired restaurant and bar offering sushi, sashimi, robata-style dishes, cocktails, and panoramic views. Café Bellini – Italian-inspired café and bakery serving espresso, pastries, breakfast items, and light fare. Position Summary: The Sales & Events Manager at ONE | GT, Grand Cayman is responsible for driving, planning and executing local corporate, meeting and social event business for the hotel, while supporting the Director of Sales & Marketing with selected group sales and accommodation requirements. This is a highly client-facing and commercially focused role, combining proactive sales and relationship development with detailed event planning and execution. The Sales & Events Manager will manage events from initial enquiry and proposal through contracting, planning, on-site execution and post-event follow-up, ensuring an exceptional client experience/communications, and supporting sales initiatives that grow/maximize local event revenue opportunities for the hotel. The role will work closely with Food & Beverage, Culinary, Front Office, Finance and hotel leadership to ensure every event is delivered seamlessly and in line with the hotel’s brand and service standards. Key Performance Indicators: Performance will be measured against a combination of commercial, operational and client service objectives, including: Local corporate and social event revenue New business development and lead generation Enquiry-to-confirmed-business conversion Repeat business and client retention Event upsell and incremental revenue Client satisfaction and post-event feedback Accuracy and timeliness of BEOs, contracts and event documentation Pipeline management and forecasting accuracy Timely collection of deposits and final payments Successful event execution and internal operational feedback Core Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Drive local corporate, meeting, private dining and social event business through proactive sales activity, relationship building and effective follow-up. Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing corporate clients, event planners, local organizations and social event clients to generate new and repeat business. Respond promptly to event enquiries, qualify opportunities, guide clients through the complete planning process. Prepare compelling proposals, quotations and contracts tailored to individual client requirements. Conduct hotel site inspections, client appointments and event consultations. Negotiate contracts within established parameters while protecting rate, profitability and the hotel’s commercial interests. Maximize revenue through strategic upselling of Food & Beverage, accommodation, AV, venue enhancements and additional event experiences. Identify opportunities to convert event clients into repeat corporate, accommodation, dining and event business. Represent the hotel at appropriate networking events, industry functions and local business opportunities to increase awareness and generate leads. Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular updates on leads, confirmed business, conversion and future opportunities. Event Planning & Client Management Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned events from confirmation through completion. Conduct detailed client consultations to establish event objectives, timelines, guest numbers, menus, room setup, AV requirements, accommodation needs and special requests. Prepare accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), event resumes, function schedules, diagrams and other event documentation. Whilst maintaining the Event Management System DELPHI Establish and communicate key planning deadlines, including final guest counts, menu selections, rooming lists, deposits and final payments. Ensure final event details, signed BEOs and estimated invoices are completed/distributed within established deadlines. Maintain regular and proactive communication with clients throughout the planning process. Conduct pre-event or pre-conference meetings for larger, complex or multi-day events as required. Arrange and manage event rentals (décor, audiovisual, furniture) as required, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Anticipate client needs and recommend creative solutions and enhancements that improve both the guest experience and commercial value of the event. Local Corporate & Social Events Take primary ownership of the hotel’s local corporate and social events segment. Develop business across corporate meetings, receptions, celebrations, weddings and private or social occasions. Build awareness of hotel’s event spaces, restaurants, accommodation and event capabilities within the local market. Develop creative event packages, seasonal opportunities and experiences in collaboration with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Food & Beverage teams. Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and community partners to encourage repeat events, referrals and long-term account development. Monitor local demand, competitor activity and emerging event trends and communicate opportunities to the Director of Sales & Marketing. Group & Rooms Support Support leadership with group accommodation business and group planning as required. Assist with room blocks, rooming lists, group resumes, arrival details, special requests and group documentation. Review relevant contracts, turnover notes and group requirements to ensure accurate operational communication. Liaise with Front Office, Reservations, and other departments regarding group accommodation requirements. Assist with pre-arrival coordination and on-property group requirements where appropriate. Internal Coordination & Event Execution Act as the key liaison between the client and hotel operational teams for assigned events. Work closely with Culinary, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, Finance and other departments to communicate all event requirements clearly and accurately. Participate in BEO, sales and operational meetings as required to review upcoming business and ensure departmental alignment. Communicate amendments and last-minute changes promptly to all relevant departments. Conduct pre-event walkthroughs to confirm spaces, setup, signage, AV and other requirements are prepared correctly. Greet key event contacts upon arrival and remain visible and accessible during significant events. Monitor event execution and ensure all contracted elements and service expectations are delivered. Respond quickly and professionally to client concerns and coordinate appropriate resolutions with operational teams. Deliver polished, responsive and professional communication throughout every stage of the client journey. Respond to client enquiries and correspondence promptly and within established departmental standards. Maintain a professional appearance and represent the hotel appropriately at all times. Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail across proposals, contracts, BEOs and client communications. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities Ensure contracts, deposits, final payments and event billing requirements are completed according to established hotel procedures and timelines. Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate invoicing, payment processing and resolution of billing queries. Maintain accurate and current client accounts activity & event information within the hotel’s CRM and sales systems. Maintain organized records of proposals, contracts, BEOs, rooming lists, correspondence and other event documentation. Prepare sales activity, pipeline, annual budgeting along with forecasting and event revenue reports as required. Ensure all client interactions, changes and commitments are appropriately documented. Ensure all sales and event activities comply with hotel policies, brand standards and financial guidelines. Follow up with clients following events to solicit feedback, address concerns and identify repeat business opportunities. Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies: 2–3+ years of experience in hotel sales, catering sales, events, conference services or a comparable hospitality role. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Events or a related discipline preferred but not required. Previous hotel or Food & Beverage event experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and coordinating events from enquiry through execution. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify sales and upselling opportunities. Experience preparing proposals, contracts and Banquet Event Orders. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. Highly organized, exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously. Confident conducting client meetings, presentations and hotel site inspections. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with hotel sales, CRM and property management systems such as Delphi, Opera or similar platforms. Strong work ethic, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced hotel environment. Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times. Regular attendance according to established guidelines, with flexibility to work varying schedules including occasional evenings, weekends and holidays based on the event schedule.
