Department Overview QA Job Description We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Salesforce QA Engineer with 4–5 years of dedicated software testing experience to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be ensuring the quality, reliability, and seamless user experience of our Salesforce platform, focusing heavily on Sales Cloud . Basic Requirements Key Responsibilities A) Functional & End-to-End Salesforce Testing Analyze complex business requirements and user stories to design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, manual test cases, and precise UAT (User Acceptance Testing) scripts. Perform rigorous functional, regression, smoke, and ad-hoc testing specifically tailored for Salesforce Sales Cloud (including Lead conversion, Opportunity pipelines, Account/Contact management, Quotes, and Forecasting). Validate complex Salesforce configurations, such as custom lightning components, validation rules, Flow automations, approval processes, and security models (profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules). Conduct integration testing to ensure seamless data flow between Salesforce and external, third-party systems. Support and guide the business users with executing the test scripts as part of the user acceptance testing B) Backend Data Validation & Querying Write and execute SOQL (Salesforce Object Query Language) queries via Developer Console or Workbench to perform backend data validation. Verify data integrity, check field mappings, and validate complex data migrations or bulk updates directly at the database layer. Monitor debug logs and asynchronous operations (like batch jobs) to track down root causes of failures. C) Collaboration & Defect Management Log, track, and manage bugs rigorously using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps, providing clear replication steps and logs to development teams. Collaborate closely with Salesforce Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to ensure alignment on business logic and release timelines. D) AI tools Knowledge of AI tools ( ex - Copilot) and leveraging them to optimize traditional testing workflows. Required Qualifications: Experience: 4–5 years of core QA experience, with at least 3 years focused heavily on manual testing within the Salesforce ecosystem. Education: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Salesforce Expertise: Strong functional knowledge of Sales Cloud configurations, standard objects, and common sales workflows. Data Validation: Strong hands-on experience using SOQL queries for backend testing and data validation. Process: Mastery of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the standard Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to build strong relationships with business stakeholders. Experience working in an agile development environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Good to Have Skills Automation Exposure: Foundational knowledge or hands-on experience writing basic test scripts using Playwright with JavaScript (especially useful for identifying elements in Salesforce's shadow DOM). Hands-on experience testing Agentforce use cases Certifications: Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Service/Sales Cloud Consultant.
