Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP Payroll / SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Consultant to join our client's team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SAP Payroll and/or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP), with a strong understanding of UK Payroll processes.

The consultant will be responsible for implementing, configuring, supporting, and enhancing SAP Payroll/ECP solutions, working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver effective payroll solutions.

Candidates with strong UK Payroll experience combined with SAP ECP expertise are particularly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and support SAP Payroll / SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) solutions.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP Payroll/ECP solutions.
• Configure payroll-related components including wage types, payroll areas, payroll schemas, PCRs, and payroll processing rules.
• Work on Employee Central to ECP integration and ensure accurate employee and payroll data flow.
• Support end-to-end payroll processes including gross-to-net calculations, payroll processing, retroactive accounting, off-cycle payroll, deductions, payments, and statutory processing.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of UK Payroll processes and statutory requirements.
• Work on payroll testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, regression testing, and parallel payroll runs.
• Support payroll migration, data validation, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live activities.
• Identify and resolve payroll configuration and production issues.
• Work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, Integration, and other technical teams.
• Prepare functional specifications and support technical teams during development and integration activities.
• Participate in workshops with business stakeholders and provide recommendations based on SAP Payroll best practices.
• Support continuous improvement, enhancements, and optimization of payroll processes.
• Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and user support as required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in SAP HCM Payroll and/or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Payroll configuration.
• Good knowledge of Payroll Schemas, Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs), Wage Types, Payroll Areas, and payroll processing.
• Strong understanding of UK Payroll processes and statutory requirements.
• Experience with Employee Central – ECP integration.
• Experience in SAP Payroll implementation, rollout, migration, enhancement, and/or support projects.
• Strong understanding of payroll integration with SAP HCM, Employee Central, Time Management, Finance, and third-party systems.
• Experience in payroll testing, UAT, parallel runs, reconciliation, cutover, and go-live support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a global team.
