Kansai International Academy (KIA), a bilingual school with 14 campuses across the Kansai and Kanto regions of Japan, is seeking a Secondary School Mathematics teacher for its Kobe campus, an IB Continuum School (PYP, MYP, DP) accredited by the Council of International Schools. The role involves developing curriculum collaboratively, applying constructivist/inquiry-based teaching approaches, and differentiating learning for a bilingual, multicultural student body. Work hours are generally weekdays 8:20am-5pm.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Math with Secondary Education (required). Teaching certificate from a home country or another English-speaking country (required). Teaching experience in a cross-cultural environment, with non-native English speakers, and/or in an IB school preferred. Must currently reside in Japan. Cover letter and two referees required; background checks required.
