Job Description Summary: This role is the strategic IT Business Partner and Senior Director for the SAP ecosystem at The Coca-Cola Company, serving as the primary bridge between business units, bottling partners, and application development and support teams. It owns the end-to-end SAP platform strategy, governance, architecture, security, and lifecycle management across Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, Data, and Enterprise Integration domains, including BW, MDG, IBP, and all SAP-related integration platforms. The role shapes and executes the SAP application roadmap by aligning technology solutions with business strategy, value realization, and operational excellence, ensuring the platform delivers scalable, secure, reliable, and innovative capabilities that support business growth and digital transformation. It drives development, enhancement, and adoption of SAP systems through strong stakeholder engagement, Agile delivery, and effective backlog and release management, while evaluating emerging business needs and technology trends, performing cost-benefit analyses to inform investment decisions, and recommending innovative, scalable solutions. Responsibilities span SAP product management, solution architecture, platform modernization, application development, integration services, global security (including role design and administration), job scheduling, transport and release management, global upgrades, license management and optimization, and vendor governance. By fostering sustainable relationships with bottling partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders, the role ensures successful delivery of incremental business value while proactively identifying and removing risks and obstacles to product delivery, championing Agile ways of working, and leading cross-functional teams. The Senior Director partners with business executives, enterprise architects, cybersecurity leaders, and technology delivery teams to maximize the value of SAP investments while enabling future capabilities across cloud, analytics, and AI, including the strategy and architecture for AI solutions on the SAP platform (such as SAP Joule) and their integration with other agentic AI systems and building the SAP data foundation that powers data lakes for AI and analytics consumption. This role also brings external innovation into the organization to enable continuous improvement and long-term IT capability growth. What You’ll Do for Us Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management Act as a liaison between application development & support and the business units for the development and implementation of new SAP systems and enhancement of existing systems. Build sustainable relationships with the bottling partner(s) in the BU to drive strategic IT changes. Manage stakeholders and vendors as IT Business Partner, bringing innovation from outside the organization. Conduct cost/benefit analyses for proposed IT SAP projects/products as input to the organization's IT roadmap. Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements, and recommend systems alternatives, enhancements, or process improvements enabled by new or existing technology. SAP Platform Strategy & Product Ownership Define and execute the enterprise SAP platform strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned with business priorities and digital transformation objectives. Act as the global product owner for the SAP platform portfolio, including all SAP-related integration platforms. Drive platform modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, SAP RISE, BTP capabilities, and SAP innovation programs. Establish platform investment priorities, business cases, and value realization metrics. Ensure consistent platform capabilities across global business units and geographies and develop technology lifecycle roadmaps for all SAP products and services. Architecture, Integration & Application Development Own the SAP technology architecture, including BW, MDG, and IBP, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards through defined governance and architecture review processes. Own the enterprise SAP integration strategy, standards, and execution framework across all platforms integrated with SAP. Lead global SAP development organizations, including ABAP, Fiori, and BTP development, and govern the internal and outsourced ABAP factories. Define engineering standards, development methodologies, and DevSecOps/CI-CD practices for SAP delivery. Own the strategy for UI upgrades, BTP, Fiori, and emerging SAP user experience and platform technologies. Agile Delivery & Release Management Drive Agile adoption and lead Agile teams to deliver incremental value to the business, coordinating backlog and release management. Identify potential threats to product delivery and help remove them. Manage SAP Global Job Scheduling using external tools such as Redwood. Manage the Release Services team and release strategy, including transport management tools such as RevTrac, to ensure enhancements, defect resolution, and operational changes do not impact the global template or business operations. Own enterprise-wide SAP release and transport management, including detailed regression testing and coordination of testing for upgrades and enhancements; govern SAP transports across development, test, and production environments to protect system integrity and ensure adherence to the SAP landscape template. Lead execution of SAP upgrades, enhancement packs, and support packs to maintain platform currency and vendor support compliance. Oversee testing of SAP solutions as part of regression testing during periodic releases and upgrades, managing both automated and manual execution in coordination with IT and business teams, with the goal of fully automating testing solutions. Security & Landscape Governance Own SAP global security strategy and governance, including the creation and administration of security roles and data masking. Partner with cybersecurity teams to embed enterprise security requirements into SAP operations, including segregation of duties, GRC, and identity and access management. Data, Analytics & AI Own the strategy for all data and analytics related to SAP, including SAP BCP and the data foundation required to power SAP-related data lakes. Define the strategy and architecture for AI solutions on the SAP platform, including SAP Joule, and their integration with other Agentic AI systems. Enable SAP data for consumption by AI and analytics tools inside and outside the SAP ecosystem. Vendor, License & Operations Management Own the relationship and manage SAP as a Cloud vendor, including SAP RISE and other SAP cloud solutions; lead contract negotiations and vendor performance management. Govern SAP licensing strategy and optimize software asset utilization. Establish platform reliability, availability, and operational excellence standards, including SLAs, KPIs, incident and problem management, and disaster recovery / business continuity. Team Leadership Lead global teams across architecture, engineering, integration, security, and platform operations; build a high-performing organization and develop future technology leaders. Qualifications & Requirements A Master’s Degree or equivalent experience. 10+ years’ experience leading IT strategy for a large global company. Proven experience leading SAP Platforms and Development Teams. Proven experience in leading IT initiatives and driving strategic changes. Strong understanding of application development & support, and the ability to translate business requirements into application requirements. Experience in conducting cost/benefit analyses for IT projects/products. Ability to build and maintain relationships with various partners and stakeholders. Experience in backlog and release management. Experience in driving Agile adoption and leading Agile teams. Ability to evaluate new IT developments and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate potential threats for product delivery. Experience in managing stakeholders and vendors and bringing innovation from outside.
