Senior Full Stack Engineer Location: San Francisco, CA Work Arrangement: On-site — 5 days per week Office Location: Near the Ferry Building, San Francisco Salary: $160,000–$230,000 per year Equity: 0.2%–0.6% Visa Sponsorship: Open to eligible visa transfers, including OPT and H-1B transfers Job Type: Full-time About the Role We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with 4–8 years of experience to own and build new product areas at a rapidly growing AI startup transforming insurance operations.
You’ll join a 15-person team, including 10 people across engineering and product, that has grown from $0 to $3M in revenue in just 15 months. The company is building AI agents that handle complex insurance workflows across voice, chat, email, and SMS.
This is a high-ownership role where approximately 80% of your work will involve building new products from scratch. You’ll specifically help drive the company’s browser automation and document intelligence platform.
You’ll report directly to the CEO and work alongside a highly collaborative, ambitious team in San Francisco. What You'll Do
- Own and build conversational, real-time AI agents for insurance operations from concept through production.
- Build and ship customer-facing features across a modern TypeScript, React, and Node.js technology stack.
- Develop new product areas, with significant opportunities to work from scratch.
- Collaborate closely with product and forward-deployed engineering teams.
- Participate in customer meetings and product demos when needed.
- Make important technical decisions around architecture, tooling, and infrastructure.
- Help establish engineering standards and best practices as the company scales.
- Mentor newer engineers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.
- Work closely with the CEO and other senior team members to rapidly turn ideas into production-ready products.

What we are looking for
Experience
- 4–8 years of professional experience in full-stack software engineering.
- Demonstrated experience building and shipping customer-facing products end-to-end.
- Experience operating at a Senior Software Engineer level or demonstrating senior-level ownership and technical judgment.
- A track record of increasing responsibility or multiple promotions is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
- Willingness and ability to work extensively with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Strong understanding of full-stack software development.
- Experience designing, building, and deploying production applications.
- Experience with PostgreSQL is a plus.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud infrastructure is a plus.
- Experience deploying LLM-based or agentic AI solutions in production is a strong plus.
Communication & Collaboration
- Strong ownership and ability to independently drive projects from idea to production.
- Comfortable working directly with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Customer-facing experience and willingness to participate in product demos or customer calls is a plus.
