About this role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with 4-8 years of experience to own and build net-new product areas at a high-growth AI startup transforming insurance operations. You'll join a 15-person team (10 in eng/prod) that's grown from $0 to $3M in revenue in just 15 months, building AI agents that handle complex insurance workflows across voice, chat, email, and SMS. This is a high-ownership role where you'll be building from scratch 80% of the time, specifically driving the company's new browser automation and document intelligence platform. You'll report directly to the CEO and work alongside a tight-knit, ambitious team in San Francisco.

Will you be doing?

• Own and build conversational, real-time AI agents for insurance operations, end-to-end
  
  

• Ship net-new features rapidly (first PR to production in week one) across a modern TypeScript/React/Node.js stack
  
  

• Work cross-functionally with product and forward-deployed engineering teams, and selectively join customer meetings to demo features you've built
  
  

• Shape technical decisions on architecture, tooling, and infrastructure as an early engineer at a company scaling fast
  
  

• Help establish engineering best practices and mentor newer engineers as the team grows toward 30 people by year-end

Role Requirements

1. Seniority

Requirement: 4 - 8 years of experience in full- stack engineering, shipping customer- facing products end- to- end

1. Work experience

Requirement: Senior Software Engineer or Software Engineer approaching end of mid- career, already performing at a senior level and looking for more end- to- end ownership

Nice to have: Experience deploying LLM- based/agentic solutions in production

Nice to have: Big tech to YC startup (Seed to Series A) pipeline

1. Education

Requirement: Strong academic performance (GPA 3. 7+ preferred; IIT/JEE ranking is a strong positive signal)

1. Hard skills

Must have: Proficiency in a modern language with willingness to work in TypeScript/React/Node. js

1. Nice to have: Experience with PostgreSQL and cloud infrastructure (AWS)

1. Soft skills Nice to have: Customer- facing comfort; willing to demo and join client calls

Miscellaneous

Must have: Must work on- site in San Francisco 5 days/week
