The role
The Senior Graphic Designer creates the artwork that lives on Gloria Jeans garments, including placement graphics, all-over prints, branding and trims across our collections. Working from designers' research, this role turns ideas into market-relevant graphics and carries every artwork through sizing, production-ready technical packs and PLM upload.
This role combines creativity with garment craft, trend awareness and a practical understanding of how prints are applied in production. You will work closely with the Head of Design, designers, buyers, Product Development, Pattern Making and Technical teams. The role is fully based in Dubai, with relocation and visa support provided.
What you will own
- Develop market-relevant garment artwork from designers' research, including placement graphics, all-over prints, branding and trims.
- Create front and back prints, sleeve graphics and seamless repeating patterns for T-shirts, hoodies, outerwear and accessories.
- Develop custom logos, typography, neck labels, hangtags and woven patches that remain consistent with the Gloria Jeans brand identity.
- Match graphics to garment silhouettes, fabric weights, textures and washes, designing for how each artwork will be produced as well as how it looks.
- Research fashion movements, cultural shifts, typography and print techniques continuously, with a strong understanding of key markets, particularly Russia.
- Build seasonal mood boards that translate trend and market research into a clear direction for graphics and prints.
- Create complete print tech packs with artwork dimensions, Pantone colours in PMS or TCX and exact garment placements.
- Specify the correct print and embellishment techniques for each artwork, including screen print, discharge, puff, embroidery, laser fading and rhinestones.
- Prepare sizing and colour separations, then upload complete and accurate artwork workloads to PLM for supplier production.
- Work daily with Design and Buying teams on briefs, reviews, approvals and commercial targets.
- Review strike-offs, lab dips and pre-production samples with designers and suppliers for colour, print clarity and scale.
- Maintain organised vector databases, artwork archives and production-ready files, while using AI image tools for generation, variants and creative exploration.
What we are looking for
- At least 3 years of graphic design experience in the garment industry, including apparel, streetwear or merchandise graphics that went into production.
- A portfolio of prints, graphics and best-selling designs you have personally developed and taken into production.
- Advanced Adobe Illustrator skills for vectors and tech packs, and advanced Photoshop skills for colour separations, textures and mock-ups.
- Hands-on experience using AI image tools in daily creative work; CLO 3D experience is an advantage, but not required.
- Strong knowledge of print production techniques, including water-based, plastisol and discharge screen printing, embroidery, DTG and special effects.
- Experience creating complete print tech packs and preparing correctly sized, colour-separated artwork for PLM upload.
- A deep understanding of fashion trends, cultural shifts and key markets, particularly Russia.
- Creative, product-focused and commercially grounded thinking, with curiosity about trends, competitors and why products sell.
- The ability to manage multiple artworks and deadlines in parallel, remain composed under pressure and adapt when priorities shift.
- Fluent English; Russian is an advantage.
