Senior Growth Engineer — AI / PLG San Francisco, CA / Bay Area — Hybrid Full-Time | $225K–$290K + Competitive Equity Build the Growth Engine for a Fast-Growing AI Platform We are building the infrastructure that turns the web into data AI agents can use.

With 8-figure ARR, 147K+ GitHub stars, and rapid year-over-year growth, we're looking for a Senior Growth Engineer to turn developer discovery into activation, adoption, and revenue. This is not a growth marketing role.

You'll write production code and own the engineering behind signup, onboarding, activation, conversion, and PLG experiments—with success measured by the metrics you move. What You'll Do

• Own growth surfaces end-to-end: signup, onboarding, activation, upgrade and conversion
• Design, build, and analyze A/B tests and product experiments
• Instrument funnels and use SQL/product analytics to identify growth opportunities
• Build full-stack experiences across React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js and PostgreSQL
• Partner directly with leadership to shape the PLG growth roadmap
• Rapidly ship, measure, learn, and iterate based on real user behavior
• Leverage AI coding tools and LLMs to accelerate product development

What We're Looking For

• 5–12 years of full-stack engineering experience, ideally in an early- or growth-stage startup
• Proven ownership of PLG features such as onboarding, activation, upgrade flows, or conversion experiences
• Demonstrated ability to move a measurable growth metric
• Hands-on experience designing and running A/B tests and growth experiments
• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Node.js
• Experience with event tracking, SQL, funnels, and product analytics
• Production experience with LLMs / AI-native development
• Daily proficiency with AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude Code
• Strong product instincts and ability to operate independently without a detailed spec
• Experience building developer-facing products, APIs, SDKs, playgrounds, or developer tools
• Proven track record of meaningful tenure and seeing projects through

Nice to Have

• Experience with Vercel, Tailwind CSS, Python, PostgreSQL
• Experience with Anthropic Claude API / LLM APIs
• Experience with Datadog, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or PostHog
• Growth engineering experience at a developer tools, SaaS, or AI company
• Experience building internal growth/product tooling

Not a Fit If You Are

• Primarily a growth marketer, SEO/content, CRM/lifecycle, or GTM professional
• A frontend-only or backend-only specialist
• A platform/research engineer without strong product instincts
• Someone who has shipped features without owning measurable outcomes
• Someone who treats AI coding tools as optional rather than part of their daily workflow

Compensation & Location Salary: $225K–$290K + competitive equity Location: San Francisco, CA / Bay Area — Hybrid Employment: Full-Time Visa: Open to H-1B transfers and OPT; sponsorship may be considered for exceptional candidates but is not standard practice.
