About The Role
Want to shape the future of road safety across an entire national network?
As a
Senior Highway Safety Engineer, you will play a leading role in delivering the Isle of Man Road Safety Strategy, helping reduce death and serious injury through evidence-led interventions, targeted schemes and practical solutions that improve safety for all road users.
Working within the Network Planning team, you will contribute to road safety, traffic management and transport planning across the Island, leading collision analysis, route assessments, safety investigations and casualty reduction initiatives. Using data, site evidence, professional judgement and stakeholder feedback, you will identify risks, deliver proportionate solutions and help implement the Road Safety Strategy Action Plan in partnership with colleagues across Government, the Constabulary, emergency services, contractors and local communities. You'll also play a key role in embedding a Safe System approach across highway design, asset management and network planning, helping create a safer, more resilient and better-connected transport network for the Isle of Man.
