Summary The Senior I&E Specialist is responsible for the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation, electrical systems, and process control equipment throughout the facility. This role ensures reliable plant operation, supports safety and compliance programs, and drives continuous improvement in maintenance practices. This is a hands-on role requiring advanced technical expertise in industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Instrumentation & Controls Install, calibrate, and maintain field instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature, level transmitters). Troubleshoot control loops, signal issues (4–20 mA, HART, Modbus, etc.). Maintain and repair control valves, positioners, and regulators. Support PLC/DCS systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar). Interpret P&IDs, loop sheets, and wiring diagrams. Electrical Systems Maintain and troubleshoot low and medium-voltage electrical systems. Work with MCCs, VFDs, motors, and power distribution systems. Perform motor testing, wiring, and replacement. Respond to electrical failures and support root cause analysis. Maintenance & Reliability Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs. D iagnose recurring equipment issues and implement corrective actions. Assist with equipment upgrades, shutdowns, and capital projects . Maintain accurate work orders and documentation (CMMS). Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and site safety procedures. Participate in LOTO, arc flash, and confined space programs. Support environmental and process safety standards. Collaboration Coordinate with operations, engineering, and contractors. Mentor junior technicians and support skill development across the team. Required Qualifications 5+ years of industrial I&E experience (chemical, refining, manufacturing, or similar). Strong knowledge of: Process instrumentation and calibration, Electrical troubleshooting (480V systems and below), Control systems (PLC/DCS), Maintaining and troubleshooting, Emerson DeltaV distributed control systems (DCS). Ability to read and interpret: P&IDs, Electrical schematics, Loop diagrams, Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation. Preferred Qualifications Associate or Technical Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field. Journeyman Electrician or equivalent certification. Experience with: Hazardous area classifications (Class I Div 1/2), Vibration analysis, thermography, or predictive maintenance tools and SAP, Maximo, or other CMMS platforms. Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline. Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced plant environment. Leadership and mentoring capability. Strong safety mindset Work Conditions Industrial plant environment (outdoor/indoor exposure). On-call or off-hours support as needed. Physical requirements include climbing, lifting, and confined space entry. Relocation Options: Relocation may be considered. International Considerations: Expatriate assignments won't be considered.
