Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

Our client is hiring a Senior Internal Auditor to strengthen how a fast-moving retail and e-commerce business manages risk. Working closely with audit leadership, you'll own end-to-end process reviews, shape the annual controls plan, and turn audit findings into real control improvements across the group.

What you'll do

• Lead development of the Annual Controls Review plan by identifying and evaluating key audit risk areas.
• Own end-to-end process reviews within budget and in line with IIA standards from scoping to draft report and executive summary.
• Review the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls (including fraud risk areas) and assess compliance with group policies and leading practices.
• Identify audit issues and root causes, recommend improvements, and ensure corrective action plans are implemented on time.
• Conduct special/field audits and investigations into critical areas on request of operating companies or audit management.
• Contribute to risk assessments, help risk owners build mitigation plans, and maintain the group-wide risk-control library.
• Enhance the audit methodology through automation and data-analytics opportunities.
• Build strong working relationships with process owners and guide/support peers to deliver high-quality work.

What you'll bring

• Chartered Accountant (CA / ACCA / CPA) or MBA (Finance).
• CIA / CFE an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of internal audit experience in the Retail / E-Commerce sector.
• Strong knowledge of retail / e-commerce business operations.
• Advanced data-analytics acumen, including hands-on experience with leading tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and professional scepticism.
• Strong organisation and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
