The Role
As a (Senior) Manager SAP SD & Tax Technology, you’ll work in a multidisciplinary team on diverse projects. You’ll guide clients in achieving cost reduction or innovation through business process improvements. Within the Tax Technology team, your focus will be on implementing tax processes and solving complex pricing challenges in SAP SD.
You’ll be involved in both national and international projects, ranging from short-term assessments and feasibility studies to full S/4HANA & Tax Technology implementations.
You’ll share your expertise with all your colleagues in the Tax & Legal department, where collaboration and personal development are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design discussions and workshops with clients on tax processes and related areas such as lead-to-cash, record-to-report, procure-to-pay, and plan-to-deliver.
- Translate business and tax requirements into functional specifications and/or technical designs.
- Configure the S/4HANA (Cloud) system or review configuration quality based on defined templates.
- Define test scope, support testing activities, deliver training, and ensure a successful go-live while safeguarding the template.
- On-site project experience is required.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in S/4HANA (Cloud) and assess their impact on the firm and its clients.
- Contribute to the delivery of cutting-edge value propositions in the SAP Tax Technology domain, such as sustainability taxes (excise/sugar/packaging), indirect tax, low-code application development (SAP Build), and artificial intelligence (AI).
Your Profile
You are an ambitious team player with strong analytical and communication skills. You take ownership of delivering the best solutions for client challenges and are not afraid to lead. You bring proven leadership experience in managing teams.
- A university or applied sciences degree (WO/HBO).
- At least 6 years of implementation experience in the SD module (e.g., pricing, supply chain, order management), including team and project leadership.
- Minimum of 4 full-cycle implementations, from exploration to go-live.
- Experience with reverse calculation, volume-based pricing, complex pricing, and tax (excise/indirect/packaging) is a plus.
- Strong political and cultural awareness.
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
