THE ROLE & THE TEAM The Proposition Teams are responsible for building remarkable experiences that speak to the unique customer needs when shopping for a specific Zalando assortment, such as Sports, Beauty, Kids, Recommerce, and Designer. Each of these propositions requires deep customer understanding and encourages solutions that truly match customer needs and enhance the credibility of the categories. As a Senior Designer, you will be instrumental in improving the customer experience within and across multiple propositions. You will collaborate closely with a diverse group of key stakeholders, including Product Managers, Engineers, Product Analysts, Commercial teams, and fellow Designers, driving the solution design phase in our projects. This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver cross-cutting customer experiences. This role is based in Berlin. Design and deliver innovative customer experiences that contribute to multi-proposition adoption. Apply research practices to understand customer needs and assess design solutions. Maintain a collaborative design approach across disciplines, working seamlessly with Engineering, Product Management, and further stakeholders. Effectively manage your own work and influence senior stakeholders, acting as a clear communicator for design direction. Contribute to inclusive design principles, considering diverse needs, especially for Sports, Kids and Beauty customers. You have a good understanding of UX copywriting best practices. You tackle ambiguous problems through seamless end-to-end customer journeys. Data & insight driven solution design : You have experience leading user research and integrating business as well as other perspectives into your work. You experiment to create solutions that work holistically and drive impact. Cross-discipline collaboration : You foster collaboration across levels and functions, navigating stakeholder concerns in a considerate way. You proactively grow your network and connect dots across the organization. High-impact communication : You have strong verbal and written communication skills. You are confident presenting to large audiences and facilitating workshops. Your design rationales are sharp and persuasive.
