We are partnered with a rapidly growing energy infrastructure developer delivering utility-scale thermal power generation projects across the US.

As they scale, they're looking for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join the team and act as the owner's technical lead across the design, procurement, EPC execution and commissioning of large-scale gas turbine power plants. This is a highly hands-on role with significant ownership across the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities 🔨

• Lead mechanical engineering activities across utility-scale gas turbine power generation projects.
• Provide owner's engineering oversight from project development through EPC execution, commissioning and operations.
• Review gas turbine packages and balance-of-plant mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Review technical documentation including equipment specifications, PFDs and P&IDs.
• Support equipment selection, procurement and technical bid evaluations.
• Participate in FATs, SATs, commissioning and performance testing.
• Support regulatory compliance, technical risk reviews and plant performance optimization.

Qualifications 📑

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related.
• MIN 5 years' experience in a mechanical engineering/project engineering role
• MIN 2 years experience delivering gas turbine power generation projects.
• Experience working for an EPC, OEM, engineering consultancy or owner/operator.
• Strong understanding of gas turbine auxiliary systems and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Experience managing engineering interfaces across multiple stakeholders.

Nice to Haves:

• PE License.
