We are looking for a Senior Purchasing Specialist who will take ownership of end-to-end purchasing and supplier management processes within a high-technology and R&D-driven environment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sourcing, supplier development, commercial negotiations, and purchasing operations, and will be capable of managing the entire procurement cycle from identifying requirements and researching suppliers to order placement, delivery, and follow-up.
We are seeking a proactive and self-driven professional who can take initiative, actively research and develop new supply sources, manage multiple purchasing activities effectively, and ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, components, and services in a dynamic and high-precision technology environment.
About the Role
- Manage end-to-end purchasing processes, from identifying and clarifying requirements to supplier research, quotation, negotiation, order placement, delivery, and follow-up,
- Research, evaluate, and develop local and international suppliers for high-technology, electronic, mechanical, and specialized products and services, while continuously exploring alternative sourcing opportunities,
- Collect, analyse, and compare supplier quotations based on price, lead time, quality, technical requirements, payment terms, and other commercial conditions, and lead negotiations to achieve competitive and sustainable purchasing terms,
- Coordinate closely with engineering, production, R&D, quality, and other relevant teams to ensure purchasing requirements are clearly understood and fulfilled in line with project priorities and deadlines,
- Monitor purchase orders, supplier commitments, production status, and delivery schedules; proactively identify potential delays, supply risks, and bottlenecks, and initiate the necessary actions to ensure continuity and timely delivery,
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, responsiveness, and commercial conditions, and support supplier improvement and relationship management activities,
- Conduct ongoing market and supplier research to identify new technologies, alternative sources, market opportunities, and potential cost optimization opportunities,
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, quotations, orders, and relevant documentation in accordance with company processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of purchasing and supplier management practices.
The Ideal Fit:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field,
- Proven at least five years’ experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably within high-technology manufacturing, electronics, RF/microwave, or R&D-driven environments,
- Strong understanding of supplier networks and procurement dynamics within the high-technology, electronics, or similar advanced technology sectors,
- Demonstrated experience in managing end-to-end purchasing processes and supplier relationships,
- Hands-on experience in sourcing, supplier research, supplier development, quotation analysis, and commercial negotiations,
- Experience working with local and international suppliers and managing multiple purchasing activities simultaneously,
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills,
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple requirements and deadlines effectively,
- Highly proactive, self-driven, research-oriented, and solution-focused, with a strong follow-up mindset,
- Ability to take initiative, assume ownership, and independently drive purchasing processes forward,
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate alternatives and make sound commercial decisions,
- Excellent organizational and communication skills,
- Good command of English.
