About the Role: As a key member of our core founding team, you will contribute to the development of next-generation 5G/6G technologies for our LEO constellation. Operating in a small, fast-paced, and dynamic startup environment, you will work closely with Satellite Architects and Communications Engineers to conceptualize, simulate, and test RF circuits and systems that deliver secure, global NTN and Direct-to-Device (D2D), and IoT connectivity from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the initial conceptual design and evaluation of MIMO and beamforming concepts for 5G/6G communication systems tailored for NTN and Direct-to-Device (D2D), and IoT networks.
• Collaborate closely with Systems, Antenna, and Communication engineers to integrate RF hardware into the overall satellite and constellation architecture.
• Design and develop RF circuits, including filters, amplifiers, mixers, and oscillators, optimized for space and terrestrial links.
• Perform comprehensive RF simulations and optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability for satellite communication payloads.
• Conduct rigorous testing and debugging of RF hardware using a variety of lab equipment.
• Develop a detailed understanding of link budgets and signal propagation for satellite-to-ground and satellite-to-satellite communication.
• Thrive in a dynamic startup environment, wearing multiple hats and driving hardware projects forward with a small, agile team.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• >5 years of professional experience in RF design and simulation, with a focus on 5G and 6G concepts.
• Must have prior experience working in the aerospace industry.
• Expertise in RF circuit design and a detailed understanding of MIMO and beamforming concepts.
• Proficiency with RF lab equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters).
• Comfortable with the fast pace, ambiguity, and dynamic nature of an early-stage startup.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on hardware experience is highly preferred.
• Specific experience with Direct-to-Device (D2D), IoT and satellite RF systems.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize designs for performance and cost-efficiency.
