Job Description Summary At GE Vernova, we are advancing Direct Air Capture by building the supply base needed to bring new hardware from concept into scalable deployment. As our Senior NPI Sourcing Manager, you will serve as a key advisor to leadership, driving the sourcing strategy across a critical portfolio of components and systems. In this role, you will hold significant autonomy to shape design and commercial decisions, define supply chain architectures, and navigate complex challenges to ensure our hardware platforms meet rapid growth objectives. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Influence the development of sourcing strategy for the Direct Air Capture portfolio, contributing to policy formulation for NPI industrialization. Strategic Sourcing: Direct NPI sourcing activities, with full accountability for early-stage development and industrialization pathways. Cross-Functional Influence: Partner with executive engineering and project leadership to integrate supply chain strategy into the core of the product roadmap, ensuring cost, quality, and scalability are optimized at the design phase. Complex Problem Solving: Exercise high-level judgment to resolve critical technical and commercial gaps, assessing information quality and providing actionable recommendations for problems that fall outside established parameters. Commercial Frameworks: Negotiate complex commercial frameworks, multi-year contracts, and capital investment strategies; provide independent judgment to drive favorable long-term outcomes. Operational Governance: Advise management on supplier capacity, capability, and risk mitigation strategies that support a 200–500% demand growth forecast. Performance Optimization: Oversee the qualification and onboarding of suppliers for novel technologies; lead efforts to improve supply resilience and performance, leveraging deep technical knowledge of industrial hardware. Thought Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert, interpreting external market challenges and recommending best-in-class processes to enhance the competitiveness of our DAC supply chain. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field. Significant experience leading sourcing in NPI or early-stage development environments. Minimum of 8–10 years of sourcing, supplier management, or supply chain experience. Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects. Proven expertise in managing supplier commercial frameworks, capital requirements, and complex contract negotiations in a high-growth environment. Experience in high-level risk assessment and the ability to navigate ambiguous, large-scale industrial project environments. For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Sourcing & New Product Sourcing. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience). Desired Characteristics Expertise in sourcing heavy-duty industrial equipment, fabricated assemblies, or complex engineered hardware (vessels, heat exchangers, etc.). Strong commercial awareness; ability to influence strategy for a broad territory or program. Exceptional analytical skills, with a track record of using multiple internal and external resources to formulate data-driven recommendations. Demonstrated ability to manage and develop senior professional talent or lead high-impact, complex functional teams. Advanced knowledge of should-cost modeling, value engineering, and manufacturing process development. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills. Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $125,000.00 and $208,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
