Senior/Staff Full-Stack Engineer | $200,000–$250,000 + Equity | San Francisco or New York | Hybrid, 3–4 Days On-Site | TypeScript, React & Python

We have partnered with a fast-growing, early-stage B2B AI startup building technology to automate complex, high-stakes workflows.

They are looking for a backend-leaning Senior or Staff Full-Stack Engineer to join a small, high-impact team. This is a hands-on role with significant ownership across architecture, product development, and technical decision-making.

You’ll work across backend APIs, data models, workflow orchestration, customer-facing interfaces, and AI-powered automation. You’ll also work directly with users and non-technical stakeholders to scope and ship solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own complex product areas end-to-end
• Design scalable APIs, data models, and workflow systems
• Improve frontend and backend architecture
• Build secure, reliable customer-facing products
• Develop AI-enabled automation systems
• Communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Mentor engineers and help raise the technical bar

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong full-stack experience with a backend focus
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and React
• Backend experience with Python, Node.js, Django, FastAPI, or similar
• Strong PostgreSQL, API design, and data modeling experience
• Experience owning and shipping complex products
• Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineers
• Early-stage startup, founding engineer, or team-lead experience
• Strong communication and product judgment

Offer

• $200,000–$250,000 base salary
• Potential flexibility up to $300,000 for exceptional candidates
• 0.25%–1% equity
• Hybrid, 3–4 days on-site per week
• San Francisco or New York
• Relocation support available

• O-1 sponsorship considered for exceptional candidates
