About the Senior Trust Officer Role
Our client is a privately held wealth management firm seeking an experienced Senior Trust Officer to join its growing trust team in Houston. The role serves as primary relationship manager for a portfolio of complex trust accounts, partnering closely with clients, beneficiaries, and outside advisors to deliver fiduciary service. This is a pure trust administration position with no business development or sales responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Trust Officer Role
- Administer a portfolio of complex trust accounts for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients with investable assets generally ranging from $10 million to over $100 million
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, beneficiaries, and other interested parties, delivering exceptional client service and relationship management
- Review trust documents and ensure proper administration in accordance with governing instruments, fiduciary standards, and applicable regulations
- Partner with clients' attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors, and other external professionals on trust and estate planning matters
- Assist with new client onboarding, trust account acceptance, and account transitions
- Coordinate with internal investment, tax, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless trust administration
- Identify and proactively address trust administration issues while maintaining the highest fiduciary standards
Qualifications for the Senior Trust Officer
- 7+ years of personal trust administration experience for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients
- Experience administering sophisticated trust relationships for high-net-worth clients
- Strong knowledge of trust administration, fiduciary responsibilities, estate planning concepts, and applicable regulations
- Excellent relationship management, communication, and organizational skills
- Passionate about what you do and the impact you have!
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, beneficiaries, and professional advisors
- JD or CTFA designation preferred
