Position Overview As a Master/Certified Volkswagen Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of Volkswagen vehicles. You will use your expertise to perform vehicle adjustments, calibrations, and repairs, ensuring all work meets Kendall and manufacturer standards. Key Responsibilities: Inspect, diagnose, and identify vehicle issues. Perform adjustments, calibrations, and replenishing fluids. Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components. Repair or replace parts, using independent judgment when necessary. Road test vehicles to ensure quality of work and resolve any remaining issues. Document work completed and track time per manufacturer and Kendall policies. Working Environment: Work is performed indoors in a clean and safe shop. Tool usage includes mechanic's hand and power tools, which may produce significant vibration and force. Standing and walking will be required throughout the work shift. Requirements Experience: Minimum of 5 years of previous Volkswagen technician experience at a dealership. Certifications: Current Volkswagen certifications are preferred. Vehicle Knowledge: Must have the ability to work on a wide variety of Volkswagen vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions. Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, squatting, and kneeling. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds is occasionally required.
