Description:
What's the job?
As a Boner, you will work on the production chain to bone beef carcases and prepare primal cuts to required specifications.
You will:
- Bone and trim beef carcases in line with production requirements
- Cut and separate primal products while maintaining yield and quality
- Use knives and equipment safely and maintain good knife hygiene
- Identify product defects, contamination or quality concerns
- Work with the boning room team to maintain production flow
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, halal processing and WHS requirements
Skills and Experiences:
What you'll need:
- Experience as a Boner or in a similar meat processing role, ideally in beef
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of beef cuts, anatomy and cutting lines
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Good attention to detail, reliability and the ability to work well in a team
- Physical capacity for repetitive, hands-on work in a processing environment
- Current Australian working rights or a completed relevant skills assessment and eligibility to meet Subclass 482 sponsorship requirements
For Subclass 482 sponsorship, applicants must generally have at least 12 months of relevant work experience, meet English, health and character requirements, and satisfy any occupation-specific skills assessment requirements. Visa sponsorship is subject to role eligibility and company requirements.
