Sonographer – OB/GYN & Fetal Medicine Calgary, AB Full-Time | Permanent | Local or Relocation Diagnostic Imaging Clinic Compensation: $43 – $58/hour Prosperity Workforce Solutions is hiring a Sonographer on behalf of a growing and highly respected diagnostic imaging clinic in Calgary, Alberta. This clinic is recognized as a leader in Women's Imaging, Obstetrical Imaging, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Interventional Radiology, and Pain Management. We are specifically seeking Sonographers with experience, training, or strong interest in: OB/GYN Imaging Obstetrical Ultrasound Fetal Medicine Women's Health Imaging Candidates with specialty certifications, advanced fetal assessment experience, or high-risk obstetrical exposure are strongly encouraged to apply. Sonographers with strong foundational ultrasound experience who are eager to learn and grow within women's imaging and fetal medicine are also welcome. Position Overview The Sonographer will work closely with subspecialty-trained Radiologists and a collaborative clinical team to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging and compassionate patient care. This role is ideal for someone who: Has a passion for women's health and obstetrical imaging Enjoys working in a collaborative, patient-focused environment Is interested in advancing their expertise in fetal medicine and specialty imaging Demonstrates strong clinical judgment and adaptability Key Responsibilities Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations with a focus on: Obstetrical imaging OB/GYN ultrasound Women's health imaging Fetal assessment Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and create a positive patient experience Review examinations for appropriateness and patient eligibility Obtain patient history and explain procedures clearly and professionally Identify and assess normal and complex pathology using strong critical thinking skills Collaborate closely with Radiologists and the interdisciplinary imaging team Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety standards are upheld Contribute to a supportive, collaborative, and team-oriented environment Additional experience in the following areas is considered an asset: Abdominal imaging Small parts Venous or carotid Doppler Musculoskeletal ultrasound Arterial Doppler Interventional procedure assistance Qualifications Diploma or certificate from a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program Registration in good standing with Sonography Canada Experience in OB/GYN, obstetrical ultrasound, fetal medicine, or women's imaging strongly preferred Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) certification or other specialty credentials considered an asset Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and patient care approach Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced clinic environment We welcome applications from: Experienced OB/GYN or fetal medicine sonographers Sonographers with women's imaging experience looking to specialize further Strong general sonographers with a genuine interest in learning fetal medicine and women's health imaging Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly rate: $43 – $58/hour (based on experience) Sign-on bonus up to $16,000 25% paid upon signing 75% paid after successful completion of probation (3 months) Prorated based on FTE Relocation assistance: $2,000 Comprehensive benefits package including: HSA/PSA allowance: $1,800 annually (prorated) RRSP matching up to $1,000 Uniforms provided at no cost Continuing education support and professional development opportunities Additional learning and specialty training incentives available Schedule Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Occasional evening or weekend flexibility may be required Why Join?
