Job Title: Space Operations Training Specialist Job Summary: KBR is seeking a highly motivated Space Operations Training Specialist to support training, curriculum development, and instructional delivery for orbital warfare test and evaluation activities. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the training team responsible for developing and delivering advanced space operations education and mission qualification training to government personnel engaged in space test and evaluation missions. Primary responsibilities include: Update and maintain Mission Qualification Training (MQT) curriculum and provide training materials for all topics in orbital warfare test and evaluation to include orbital mechanics, relative satellite navigation, basics in astronautical engineering and space technology, Department of War test and evaluation standards and practices, and data analysis. Training material includes lesson plans, master tasks list, test, and quiz. Instruct and facilitate portions of MQT, mission planning training, data analytics, modeling and simulation, and data science training. Facilitating includes scheduling management, coordinating with training stakeholders, and setting up classroom. Collect student feedback after each training event and providing documentation to the Government. Support training records maintenance for all 3 TES members and training programs on the system of record, to include documenting completed training and administrative functions for the system of record. (System such as Patriot Excalibur (PEX), Career Field Education and Training Plan (CFETP), and Work Center Job Qualification Standard (WJQS)) Audit and review curriculum for Instructional system design (ISD) for all tasks outlined on the APOI and IPOI. As part of the curriculum audit the Contractor shall coordinate with instructors to identify any updates required for all curricula. Create and manage the 3 TES strategic training environment (i.e., trainer, classroom) plan. Includes articulating 3 TES long-term training vision into both a vision document (white paper) and phased actions on a POA&M. Attend and participate in 3 TES training shop weekly standups and planning meetings for all training activities. Conduct training events utilizing modeling and simulation software. (e.g. STK, Freeflyer, etc.). Work with outside agencies to identify existing training and/or develop training for capability test team (CTT) specific technologies, components, and capabilities. Required Qualifications: 10+ years of experience supporting space operations. 3+ years of experience supporting orbital warfare-specific missions and/or 3 years of experience supporting space system testing, operational test, developmental test, or test and evaluation activities. Demonstrated knowledge of Orbital mechanics, Space mission planning, Department of Defense test and evaluation processes and standards Experience developing, maintaining, and delivering technical training programs and curriculum. Experience developing lesson plans, task qualification programs, examinations, and training materials. Experience facilitating classroom and hands-on technical training environments. Experience using modeling and simulation tools such as STK, FreeFlyer, or similar space analysis software. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility. Desired Qualifications: B.S. in related field. Additional education and/or certifications in lieu of experience will be considered 5+ years working DoD satellite operations training Certified DoD trainer specialized in space systems Microsoft Suite to include Access and Excel Work Environment: Location: On site Travel Requirements: Minimal Working Hours: Standard, 40 hours per week (Full-time) Compensation: For Colorado only, the salary range for this position is approximately $120,000 - $130,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. Other Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
