ROLE OVERVIEW The successful candidate will provide specialist-level Critical Care and Intensive Care services within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment supported by consultants, critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, allied health professionals, and modern diagnostic and treatment infrastructure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage critically ill medical, surgical, trauma, and postoperative patients in the ICU according to clinical scope. Provide advanced critical care and organ support, including mechanical ventilation, haemodynamic management, renal support, and sepsis management. Perform critical care procedures such as airway management, central venous access, and invasive monitoring according to approved clinical privileges. Participate in multidisciplinary ICU rounds with consultants, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, and allied health teams. Assess and manage acute and high-acuity clinical conditions and provide timely critical care interventions. Communicate effectively with patients’ families regarding treatment plans, prognosis, and goals of care. Support ICU protocols, infection prevention, clinical audits, simulation training, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
